In Nursery we have been learning the story of the Three Little Pigs. We focused on repeated refrains and explored the different materials and their properties used to build each pigs house. We had lots of fun doing this and huffing and puffing to see which houses were the best!
We have looked at friendships and what makes a good friend whilst also looking at people who help us, recognising all the different professions of people who help us. Some of us even enjoyed dressing up acting these professions out.
Spring is finally in the air and some of the children enjoyed a spot of gardening and preparing the raised beds ready for sowing seeds to grow when it is a bit warmer.
We have been very busy over the past couple of weeks. The children have enjoyed reading the story of Goldilocks and the Three bears, working on sequencing, repeated refrains and character profiling. We have looked at sizes and ordering whilst working on the number 3, ordering, matching numeral to quantity counting out, totals and representing number in lots of different ways.
We even enjoyed making porridge for Mummy, Daddy and Baby Bear!
We continue our journey through lent and looking at Jesus's friends and all he taught us whilst working hard on our fundraising by completing our sponsored Lentern Walk.
We had lots of fun exploring during British Science week by conducting many scientific experiments and learnt all about the Festival of Holi.
